In a preview clip posted on his Instagram page, EJ discusses his life growing up as a “gender fluid” human.
The 26-year-old fashionisto says he doesn’t feel like he’s male or female: “This is just EJ.”
EJ gives advice to other cross-dressing youngsters like himself who secretly wore feminine attire because they feared rejection from their parents:
“If you can just find little ways to make yourself happy, if that’s just like sneaking a dress or whatever under your bed, do what you can until you can do it the way you want to do it.”
In the caption of the video clip, he wrote:
“I’m so excited for everyone to see my segment on #thisislife with the incomparable @lisalingstagram on Sunday at 10pm on CNN. I’ve never done anything on television that is this honest and real. This is something that transcends judgment and ignorance and should be seen as a vehicle to educate and inform people about gender fluidity. I’m am so blessed to help continue the conversation about our community and what it means to truly live your truth. #teamthis”.
