A quake, Olowolayemo Ifetayo, has been arrested in Akure, Ondo State for the operation of an illegal medical center in a drug store where he manages drip and blood transfusions to his patients.
The suspect, who was arrested during a monitoring exercise at patent drug stores in the state, was paraded before the reporter
Various control and illicit drugs and injections, including Enagin, are reported to be found in his possession.
He talks drips, transfusing blood with the wrong instruments, shots his victims with banned and dangerous injections and uses medical waste in an illegal manner.
Ifetayo was granted to law enforcement agents to remand for the prosecution.
Commissioner for health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro said that the government is holding the lives of residents seriously and will not allow anyone to tame the name of making money.
Adegbenro said that the government would not hesitate to persuade the government to persecute hospital operations under the pretense of the Patient Medicine Store and harm the lives of residents.
The commissioner is represented by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Dipo Durojaye who spoke after a Task Force monitoring exercise on Fake and Fake Drugs in Akure.
He advised residents to take care where they asked for Medicare, because there are facilities that are trusted to everyone where they can seek Medicare when it is needed.
The Health Commission also warns quarks and counterfeit drug dealers that it will not be business as usual while appealing to patients of drug physicians to play the game through the rules.
