MLB star Sammy Sosa,49 definitely lighter than he was some odd years ago and he admitted in 2009 that he was using a “bleaching cream” that “whitens” his skin. Sammy Sosa holds the record for the sixth-most seasons (7) with 40+ home runs in MLB.
He said he was using the cream to "soften" his skin and admitted that it had caused his skin to change color, but he was adamant that he wasn't "racist."
Sosa is defending himself from all of the backlash he has received over the years for bleaching his skin.
The retired baseball player, who is now a resident of United Arab Emirates, popped back in his cover story in Sports Illustrated's newest issue .
“Look at what I am today,” Sosa told Sports Illustrated. “This is my life, and I don’t take garbage from nobody. I do whatever I want.”
