Adenike Adebayo-Esho, a lifestyle vlogger, speaks on womb and weight watchers, asking them to mind their own business.
“Story of my life for 4 yrs now, awon womb watchers only God gives children,” a woman commented on Adenike’s page.
While this may have been a culture especially in the African society, where women are asked why they have not had children or why they are delaying on having more, it is quite insensitive because one may not know what is happening behind closed doors.
“Omg. It’s like you took the words right out of my mouth…. I’ve been dealing with these womb watchers since last year. We really should learn to mind our own business…” another woman said.
With comments like, “you’ve added weight, I can see a protruding tummy,” Adenike says women who may be trying to conceieve may be put under undue pressure.
“You don’t know if this person want kids, you don’t know if this person is even trying… but just because the person got married and then, one month later, you are already seeing pregnancy. Its not right. We should learn to see things and keep our mouth shut. You should be able to scroll past people’s picture and not say anything.”
