Musk's Record-Breaking Battery Launched In Australia

The world's largest battery was officially released in Australia on Friday, the day after the Elon Musk project was launched early to meet demand in the midst of hot weather, officials said.

Tesla's Musk company has built a Powerpack system that can provide electricity for more than 30,000 homes to mitigate the energy problems of South Australia after the country was hit in 2016 after the "unprecedented" storm.

Maverick's billionaire, who earlier this year offered to Twitter to build a battery operated facility, completed it last week to suppress his deadline for being 100 days old.  The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) said it delivered Thursday's 70 MW of stored wind energy to the state market to meet the peak demand.
