Kante Beats Mbappe, Benzema To 2017 Best French Player Award

 

    Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has been awarded the prize for the best French player in France Football, also awarded to the Ballon d'Or. He won the trophy with 92 points, five better than Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, and 40 better than Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who is still out of the national team. Kante has won two consecutive English Premier League titles with Leicester City (2016) and Chelsea (2017), and has won the PFA and FWA player of the year awards ahead of Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and Dele Alli. He was also named Chelsea's Top Player in 2017 and named Premier League Team of the Year. He is considered one of the best defensive midfielders in world football.
