Fans Criticize Olamide For Adding Yomi SARS on Stage At Olic4

After the controversial flop of his latest Olic4 show on Sunday, Olamide attracted social media for inviting a police officer attached to the notorious anti-theft special squad, SARS, to perform at his event. Olamide has published a leaflet announcing the participation of Yomi SARS in the fourth edition of the Olamide Live in Concert event in Lagos. The event is currently underway at the Teslim Balogun Stadium. The disclosure angered Twitter users, who attacked Olamide for being insensitive. Yomi SARS defended his department against allegations of rights abuses that dominated social media discussions this month. Many users want SARS to be closed and a new department with no "uncriminalized and criminal" to be created to replace it. Olamide was among the first celebrities to join the campaign, which marked social media under the name #EndSARS. Police have acknowledged the horrific allegations of abuse of rights against SARS personnel across the country, but said that a minor restructuring will be enough rather than outright dissolution. Yomi SARS, whose real name is not immediately known, defended the action of SARS personnel in the middle of the campaign to close the department. He is also a music artist.
Here are some of the reactions to Yomi SARS’ scheduled outing as posted on Twitter:

#Africa ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie
