Fashion designer Amede Nzeribe, creative director of AMEDE, was awarded the title of "Most Innovative Women's Clothing Designer in Nigeria" at the 2017 Middle East & Africa Business Awards Now in its second year, the Middle East & Africa Business Awards has been created to recognize companies and individuals who strive to provide pioneering services in an often complex and diverse business market. Amede, known for her use of printed batik fabric, is a lawyer turned designer who has exhibited her creations in fashion shows such as Arise Fashion Magazine, Lagos Fashion and Design Week, Africa Fashion Week London and Los Angeles at The Oxford Fashion. The brand has also had the opportunity to appear alongside international brands like Mary Katranzou, Lanvin, Prada and many others on international showroom sites like 'Not Just a Label' for international fashion buyers, bloggers and fashion editors. Amede was also noticed by Los Angeles-based celebrity stylist Ivan Bitton who dressed stars like Claudia Black, Goepele and Alysia Reiner in Amede. Her creations have been featured in international publications such as Conde Nast, Glamor, Elle and Vogue.
