Yoruba actress Yewande Adekoya was reportedly placed under house arrest in the United States of America for credit card fraud and bank transfer offenses. The actress, who became popular with the film, Kudi Klepto would have been stupidly the prey of some Nigerians in Atlanta Georgia who used his bank accounts for fraudulent funds transfer. The award-winning actress, who is married to the actor and film producer, Abiodun Thomas, is under house arrest and has been ordered to surrender her passport while investigations are still ongoing.
“Her account was used to make some fraudulent transfers in the United States and she was arrested for questioning. This is no new practice among some Nigerian actors and their foreign fraudulent promoters who use them for such crimes and they get huge cuts from such deals,” a source revealed to Kemiashefonlovehaven in Atlanta, US.
