De Gea Has Shown He’s The Best Keeper In The World, Says Man Utd Colleague Young

David de Gea is now the "number one" goalkeeper in world football, according to Manchester United's Ashley Young. After the start of testing at his time at Old Trafford, who asked questions about his fitness for life in the Premier League, the international spanish acted as a global star. In recent years it has been a model of consistency for Red Devils, with its high standards that landed on it for three players of the year. It seems that United has come over after Sir Alex Ferguson, but De Gea remains a key figure, and Young believes his performances have now worn over the characters of the World Cup winner in Bayern MΓΌnchen's Manuele Neuer and at the very top of the game,
Young told MUTV on the talented 26-year-old: “I don’t think there is [anyone better].
“I said a few seasons ago I thought he could be the world number one and I think he’s shown that he is now.”
De Gea was at his inspired best once again in United’s most recent Premier League outing.
A stunning first-half stop from Joel Matip helped Jose Mourinho’s side to a 0-0 draw away at Liverpool.
The Red Devils have faced criticism for their approach to that contest, with the title hopefuls accused of being overly defensive, but Young insists little attention is being paid to the detractors amid an unbeaten start to the 2017-18 campaign.
The England international said: “We don’t listen to it.
“It’s one of those things – people will try and criticise you when you’re doing well. I’m sure we will look back on it at the end of the season and say it’s a very good point for us.
“It’s a hostile atmosphere and always tough when you go there and if you can get a win then great, but if you can’t do that then you go there to make sure you don’t lose. We defended as a team and came away with a good point.”
Having edged out Benfica in a midweek Champions League contest to preserve their 100 per cent record in the group stage of that competition, United return to domestic action on Saturday with a trip to Premier League new boys Huddersfield. ❤ ❤ 2348050417551 available for a good time ... spill TEA....
