The staff and management of the University of Ilorin has appointed Sulyman Abdulkareem as its new vice chancellor.
University Pro-Chancellor and Council President, Abdullahi Oyekan, announced the appointment on Monday.
Mr Oyekan said that the institution came to the decision after a council meeting in accordance with the provisions of the law of amendment of the universities.
According to him, the appointment will take effect from October 16, while the position of outgoing deputy foreign minister, AbdulGaniyu Ambali, will end on October 15
.
