In January 2017, Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation, Global Citizen, and the Global Partnership for Education visited Malawi.
The purpose of the visit was to advocate for better education systems for poor children to have quality education.
"I love that they learn in melody," she says. "That's like my favorite thing because kids, they adopt melody really, really quickly. And so if you can use that as a learning tool, I think that's the most brilliant, brilliant thing."
Rihanna’s visit to Muzu primary school back in January was documented in a clip.
During her visit, Fenty taught the class mathematics and she spoke in the need to assist the education system in the Malawi.
Rihanna is asking her NAVY gang to raise $3.1 billion to bring education to over 870 million children in 89 countries between 2018 and 2020.
