Elton John and Lady Gaga have teamed up to design an exclusive collection called ‘Love Bravery’, for Macy's .
The collection was made in order to raise awareness about LGBT issues and HIV/AIDS with 25% of the purchase price going to the Born This Way Foundation in order to support its work with the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
The limited edition collection has shirts, outerwear, clutches, backpacks, scarves, keychains, pins, skateboards and even speakers. Priced between $12 and $99,the collection will have vibrant yet minimal graphic prints that fuse both the artists’ musical and personal style.
Gaga said, “It’s an honour to team up with Sir Elton John to create this line with Macy’s. We need to make the world a kinder and braver place, where men and women everywhere are empowered to live with compassion.” Sir Elton John further added, “I love the idea of fusing who you are on the inside – your passions and dreams – with what you wear on the outside. Love Bravery is about the compassion on the inside to understand someone’s fears, and the bravery on the outside to stand up for them, and for yourself.”The collection is created by Lady Gaga’s sister, Natali Germanotta and designer Brandon Maxwell. The Love Bravery line will be sold exclusively at Macy’s from August 30th, this year, and 25 per cent of the purchase price will be donated to Born This Way and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
