Gala ambassador Harrysong said his grandmother predicted that he would turn out to be a star.
The ‘Reggae Blues’ hit maker in an interview with The Sun, revealed that he discovered his musical talent at a very tender age .
An orphan, Harry recounts his the death of his parents and the role his grandma played in raising him. He said: “My grand mum is still in Warri and she is very proud of me and giving me all the support. She even prophesised I would be great someday”.
Speaking on the success of his single, Reggae Blues, he said, “Basically, I tried to do an infusion of both tradisco and calypso so if you listen to the tones, you will realise that they are fresh and new tones.Reggae is a different music genre and so too is blues. I think what got people hooked was the line ‘even your boo get a boo.’ That line was inspired by people’s stories.”
His take on drug use before stage performances – “It’s not a plus because I think it’s a limitation. Some are shy and can’t face the crowd but I think it is enough reason to take drugs. I don’t do drugs. For me, if God has given you a talent, he also empowers you to handle any challenges that may come with it.”
