Shuga band is the first name that pops up when organizing an owambe event whether weddings,corporate functions...It synonymous with class,opulence and aristocracy.The band fusion of classical music,jazz,R&B blend and yes ofcourse modern day vibes puts one in the mood.

Akinloye Tofowomo the front man had polio at the age of five but refused to be deterred, he bravely confronted his challenges and had risen to become a major stakeholder in the industry. As a way of giving back, Akin has Shuga Limp Foundation to cater for polio victims.

The performance was a huge success on the first night; from then on, it became a hot spot on Sundays for the duo: Akinloye Tofowomo, Laja Gbadegesin, and  Omo Akin Ajayi as Stage Manager. The band grew into a 3pc band, and continued playing at YNOT, until Laja left to play for Lagbaja. Since then, the band has grown in sound and size into a high tech 14pc band, referred to as the best wedding band in West Africa.
The growth and expansion of the band into other areas of entertainment necessitated the need for a larger umbrella, hence, Shuga Entertainments Nig. Ltd.
