Marvel Releases New Avengers: Doomsday Footage as the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four Prepare to Collide

Marvel has already released new promotional footage for Avengers: Doomsday, including an official trailer released on July 20, 2026, and a special look presented at D23 in August. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas in December 2026.

Marvel is bringing different superhero worlds into one story.

With Robert Downey Jr. returning to the Marvel universe as Doctor Doom, and characters from the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four worlds coming together, the film is positioning itself as a major crossover event.

The  question is not simply which heroes will appear. It is whether Marvel can make audiences care about these different characters as parts of one story.

When so many iconic heroes share one film, what will make Avengers: Doomsday stand out?
