Are you ready to witness the Vocal Bible live on stage, or who else are you hoping to see join her on that December 20 lineup?
American R&B icon Brandy is heading to Lagos this December, where she will headline Flytime’s House of R&B as the city gears up for another major Detty December season.
The Grammy-winning singer is scheduled to perform on December 20, 2026, at the Eko Convention Centre, opening Flytime’s six-night December entertainment programme.
Known to generations of fans as “The Vocal Bible,” Brandy has spent more than three decades shaping contemporary R&B with her distinctive vocals, layered harmonies and influential musical style.
Her Lagos appearance is particularly significant for fans who grew up with songs including The Boy Is Mine, Have You Ever and Full Moon. The performance will also place one of R&B’s defining voices at the centre of Lagos’ internationally recognised December entertainment calendar.
Flytime founder and CEO Cecil Hammond described Brandy as a natural fit for the House of R&B concept, highlighting her influence on the genre and the significance of bringing her to the Flytime stage.
The December programme will continue with Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged on December 21, followed by Flytime Fest from December 22 to 24 and Flytime Circle on December 25.
Brandy’s Lagos performance comes after scheduled appearances in South Africa, with dates in Cape Town and Pretoria before she heads to Nigeria.
The announcement also comes during a major year for the singer. In 2026, Brandy received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and released her memoir, PHASES, which became a New York Times bestseller.
For Lagos, her arrival adds another international heavyweight to a December season increasingly defined by global music stars, nostalgia and the city's growing reputation as a destination for live entertainment.
And for fans of classic R&B, December 20 could be a night to remember.
