Bobrisky didn't only change how he looked — he wanted to change how he sounded.
Bobrisky has previously spoken publicly about undergoing procedures to alter his appearance. Now, the revelation that he also chose surgery to alter his voice shows that the transformation was not limited to what people could see.
Bobrisky advised other cross-dressers to see a doctor who could “loosen their voices to sound more feminine.”
When someone is deliberately constructing a public identity, appearance is only one part of it. The voice, mannerisms, styling and physical presentation can all become part of the same image.
He wasn't just changing his look. He was changing the sound people associated with him.
