OG Anunoby for Skechers

New York Knicks star OG Anunoby has become one of the biggest faces of Skechers Basketball after officially signing with the brand in July 2025. The partnership was announced following months of speculation after Anunoby was seen wearing Skechers basketball shoes during the 2025 NBA Playoffs. 

At the time of the announcement, Anunoby said:

 "Skechers has helped me continue to play basketball at an elite level and I love these shoes." 

The collaboration became even bigger during the 2026 NBA Finals when Anunoby wore several exclusive Skechers player-edition colorways, including the viral "NYC Blue" SKX Nexus sneakers inspired by the Knicks' colors. His performances helped elevate Skechers' profile in professional basketball. 

On June 15, 2026, Skechers announced that Anunoby had made history as the first NBA player ever to win an NBA championship while wearing Skechers basketball footwear. Following the championship, the company also confirmed that an OG Anunoby signature shoe is in development. 

Speaking after the title win, Anunoby praised the partnership, saying:

 "Skechers has been an exceptional partner on this journey." 

Skechers President Michael Greenberg also revealed:

 "We do have a signature shoe in the works." 

The partnership has generated significant buzz because Skechers was traditionally associated with lifestyle and comfort footwear rather than elite basketball. Many NBA fans on Reddit described Anunoby's Finals run as a breakthrough moment that helped make Skechers relevant in the performance basketball market.
