Hollywood couple Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good just added “Guinean citizens” to their résumé after a beautiful ceremony in Conakry, Guinea. That’s right — the stars officially received Guinean passports after DNA testing showed their roots trace back to the West African nation.
The ceremony — described as private but powerful — saw local officials welcoming them as part of the global Guinean family, with leaders saying they now represent the red-yellow-green flag all over the world.
Culturally, their move fits into a broader trend: a growing number of African American public figures have been reconnecting with Africa through dual citizenship — from Ciara’s Benin citizenship to Ghana’s “Year of Return” returnees.
