Angela Okorie reportedly arrested, taken to Abuja to face court over cybercrime involving Mercy Johnson

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has reportedly been arrested for cybercrime related to her colleague, Mercy Johnson. The news was shared by filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi on his Instagram page just minutes ago, indicating that Angela was apprehended at her residence in Lagos by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre from Abuja. According to Seun, Angela spent the night at Yaba Panti because there were no available flights to Abuja at the time of her arrest. This morning, she was placed on a 6 AM flight to Abuja to face court proceedings connected to the cybercrime matter involving Mercy Johnson. “Angela Okorie was arrested yesterday at her residence in Lagos by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre, Abuja. 

She spent the night at Yaba Panti because there was no available flight to Abuja at the time of her arrest. She was put on a 6 AM flight to Abuja this morning and is being taken there to face court proceedings connected to the cybercrime matter involving Mercy Johnson,” Seun stated. Last year, Angela publicly apologized to Mercy Johnson, stating that after reflecting on certain events, she could only thank God for her life. She acknowledged that, being human, her emotions sometimes get the best of her. Angela admitted that her previous remarks, which stemmed from a place of pain, were hurtful. For years, Angela has made attacks on Mercy Johnson over undisclosed reasons. In a return to their feud last year, Angela, during an Instagram Live session, mentioned that she had forgiven the mother of four after learning that Johnson was seriously ill. However, Angela advised Johnson to seek forgiveness from those she had wronged and to refrain from using church language that doesn’t represent her true self.
