RHOA Shamea set to sue Doctor

Shamea Morton of RHOA has filed a medical-malpractice lawsuit against Atlanta physician Dr. Jing Jing Wong Harris and her clinic, Pretty Faces Atlanta, after a March 2024 chemical peel allegedly left her with second-degree burns, blistering, and permanent scarring. The suit claims the doctor used twice the recommended strength of the peel and performed the procedure despite Morton having tinea versicolor, a skin condition that should have made her ineligible for that treatment.

Morton also alleges she was not properly examined, that the treatment was medically inappropriate, and that her pain during the procedure was dismissed as her being “dramatic.” Her attorney has called the incident “unacceptable and inexcusable” and says they intend to pursue full legal accountability for the injuries she suffered.
