Mercy Aigbe’s mother, Abisola Grace Owodunni, was laid to rest on November 28, 2025, with a grand burial celebration attended by numerous Nollywood stars and dignitaries.
For the event, Mercy released purple aso-ebi fabrics priced at N200,000 for women and N150,000 for men, with many guests dressed in elegant cord-lace outfits. The ceremonies—service of songs, burial, and thanksgiving—were emotional yet celebratory, filled with tributes from family, especially her husband, Kazim Adeoti, who described the loss as deeply painful. After the events, Mercy publicly expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, prayers, and presence of friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who helped strengthen her during the difficult period.
