Chef Dammy, a well-known Nigerian chef, comments to the Guinness World Records article on her 120-hour cook-a-thon attempt.
According to earlier rumors, before attempting the challenge to beat her countrywoman Hilda Baci's cooking record, chef Dammy did not formally apply to the recording authority.
The Ekiti Chef explained that her goal with the 120-hour cook-a-thon was to stretch her skills rather than set any records in a statement on her official Facebook page. She expressed her satisfaction at having persisted and refused to give up.
“I stated this earlier that I embarked on this journey to test my capability not for any GWR.. l am happy that I cooked for 120 hours. I am proud that I never gave up,” she said. Chef Dammy reacts to reports on not registering cookathon with Guinness Records It is worth noting that the chef surpassed the record of Hilda Baci’s awarded 93-hour for the longest cooking time.
