It was a glamorous evening of celebration as Ikenna Nelly Awujo, husband of former beauty queen Powede Awujo, marked his 40th birthday with an elegant black-tie dinner party at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The celebration brought together friends, family members and personalities from Nigeria's entertainment and social circles to honour the milestone.
Among those spotted at the occasion were Nollywood actors MBGN Munachi Abii ,Eyinna Ayinna, Ozinna Nowe Isibor, comedian Funnybone, Mayomi Ogedengbe of Meeyas Link, businessman Chima Anyaso and his wife, Ada.
Music added to the evening's entertainment, with gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and Afrobeats star Reekado Banks taking to the stage.
Both performers entertained guests with some of their popular songs, getting the audience on their feet and adding a lively musical dimension to the black-tie celebration.
Ikenna, popularly known as Nelly B, is married to Powede Eniola Awujo, the former beauty queen who represented Nigeria as Miss Tourism at the 2013 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant.
Powede is also known for her professional background in nursing and aviation. The couple celebrated their traditional wedding in September 2017, followed by their church wedding on September 9, 2017.
The 40th birthday dinner offered an opportunity for their friends and associates to celebrate Ikenna as he entered a new decade.
