Basketball player LiAngelo Ball and reality television personality Nikki Mudarris, popularly known as Miss Nikki Baby, announced in April 2023 that they were expecting their first child together.
The couple shared beautiful maternity photographs, expressing excitement about becoming parents and beginning a new chapter together.
At the time of the announcement, LiAngelo was 24, while Nikki, a former cast member of VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, was 32.
"My partner and I are excited for this next chapter of our journey as soon-to-be parents!" LiAngelo wrote while sharing the announcement.
Nikki also expressed her happiness, writing that she could not imagine welcoming their baby into the world with anyone else.
Speaking about their pregnancy announcement, LiAngelo revealed that his parents, LaVar and Tina Ball, were initially surprised but excited about the news.
His brothers, NBA stars Lonzo and LaMelo Ball, were also happy about becoming uncles.
Nikki shared that her family was equally excited, although the pregnancy announcement came as a surprise to some relatives.
The couple said they had previously discussed their dreams of building a family and were looking forward to experiencing parenthood .
LiAngelo is part of the famous Ball family, which includes his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo.
He played for the Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets. He had also been signed and subsequently waived by the Hornets in October 2022.
His basketball journey attracted attention partly because of his family's high profile in American basketball.
Nikki became widely known through Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. She is also associated with real estate and entrepreneurship.
