After suing the site and a plastic surgeon for posting a picture of him that he said implied he had undergone p3nis augmentation surgery, 50 Cent has reached a settlement with The Shade Room.
Rapper from Queens filed a lawsuit last year against the blog and Angela Kogan, proprietor of Perfection Plastic Surgery in Florida.
He said Kogan used a picture of him to imply he had penile surgery
The Shade Room then shared the photo with their 27.7million followers to promote a story about Kogan discussing the latest trends in surgery.
But the star has now agreed to settle against the blog after initially saying he wanted an apology and money from the website ‘for exacerbating the penile implant saga.’
It is unclear how much the In Da Club star will receive from The Shade Room in the settlement, but initially he was asking for ‘millions’.
Currently there has been no apology from the website to the star, though it may not be part of the settlement.
He is still suing glamorous Kogan for taking the photo and suggesting he had the surgery.
Kogan is blaming the blog for sharing the story and her lawyer claims that 50 Cent was a client who agreed to pose for the photo ‘in exchange for her service’ but did not clarify what that service was.
50 Cent denies ever having penile enlargement surgery and says that he was subject to ‘ridicule.’
He said Kogan and her associates are aware he never underwent any type of surgery at the clinic, and wants them to cease the use of the photo under all circumstances.
The lawsuit states that it caused ‘substantial damage to his professional and personal reputation, and violated his right to control his name and image.’
But attorneys for Kogan say that 50 Cent would have known it wasn’t just a picture with a fan, and denies claiming that he had the procedure.
