On the set of a recent Denzel Washington film, cocaine was found.
After a man's death, police in Italy claim to have seized a large amount of cocaine, leading to the arrest of two caterers who were working on set.
According to TMZ, Italian paramilitary police claimed to have found 120 grams of cocaine during a search on a hotel on the Amalfi coast on Tuesday in the late afternoon. The property is close to where Dakota Fanning and Denzel Washington are shooting "The Equalizer 3."
The drug bust was in response to the sudden death of the movie production's head of catering, a 55-year-old man who reportedly collapsed leaving a bar and died of a heart attack. Police said they found several bags of cocaine in the man's pockets, leading to suspicion of more drugs on the 'Equalizer' set.
After police claimed to have found cocaine in their hotel room during the raid on Tuesday, some of the Italian catering staff members were put under house arrest on suspicion of drug peddling.
Police reportedly kept them away from the filming location.
Another caterer was allegedly found with a tiny amount of cocaine that was intended for personal use.
A nearby port, which is rumored to be used as the primary staging location for the film Antoine Fuqua is directing, was also searched by authorities for drugs.
