Magdalena Andersson, the prime minister of Sweden, submitted her resignation on Thursday after acknowledging that her party lost the Sunday legislative elections.


With 99 percent of the ballots counted, Andersson's center-left coalition appears poised to lose by a small margin to a group of right-wing parties, 176 seats to 173.
