Ayan Asit Chakraborty, an Indian national, has been proclaimed sought by the Nigeria Police Force.
A Gazette Bulletin with the reference number AR: 3000/ZN.2/MTU/TMI Vol. 2/141 indicated that the Magistrates' Court in Lagos had issued an arrest warrant.
The suspect is scheduled to surrender before the Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 2 Command in Onikan.
Ayan is wanted for allegedly stealing and defrauding a Nigerian corporation, Shash Industries Ltd., between 2017 and July 2022.
He is accused of transferring approximately N500,000,000 in fraudulent transfers to his different personal accounts in order to benefit himself.
The accountant is 35 years old, 5.7 by height, medium build, oval face, long nose, small mouth, thin lips, good teeth, black eyes, light skin, and round chin,
The police description also said Ayan has curly hair, large head, low forehead, smokes and drinks, dresses in corporate/casual, and frequently visits clubs and bars.
“If seen, arrest and hand over to the nearest police station or to the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone-2 Command Onikan Lagos 07030308813”, the notice added.
