 Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo state, lost his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu.


She passed away peacefully in her sleep early on Thursday.

She was reportedly 90 years of age.


In a statement made accessible to media, Richard Olatunde, the Governor's chief press secretary, announced the nonagenarian's passing.

“She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.

“Further announcements will be made by the family in due course,” he stated.
