A lady has come forward to say that she was given money in exchange for lying about having been sexually assaulted by Trey Songz.
According to Mariah Thielen, the lawyer for Jahuara Jeffries, another alleged victim, promised her up to $200,000.
According to TMZ, Thielen, who was also present at the 2017 New Year's Eve party in Miami where Songz is accused of attacking Jeffries, was approached by Ariel Mitchell, who is Jeffries' legal representative in her complaint against the R&B singer.
During a recent court proceeding involving the case, Thielen said that following a meeting with Mitchell in April 2021, she was promised a substantial sum of money.
When they initially met, she reported that the lawyer had a marijuana odor and was carrying a revolver.
Thielen said during their conversation that Mitchell was attempting to depict Songz as the "new R. Kelly" and that she was promised there would be a payment of between $100k and $200k if she lied about having been mistreated by the singer.
If she agreed to the agreement, she would have to fabricate both the sexual assault claim and the assertion that she saw the "Already Taken" hitmaker approaching Jeffries inappropriately at the aforementioned party.
According to the court transcript, the strategy was to contact Songz's legal counsel with a proposition: "Either they give a settlement or have the matter taken to court."
