#jaiyeorie Neyo has spoken out over the news of the dissolution of his marriage to Crystal Smith, his wife of eight years.

In response to Crystal's social media announcement, the musician and father of five issued a statement on Sunday.

Neyo requested privacy in his statement, saying that everything pertaining to his marriage to Crystal would be settled behind closed doors for the benefit of the couple's children.

Recall that Crystal Smith announced her divorce on Instagram, blaming her husband's adultery as the reason for her decision.
