The story of Nigerian artist Kizz Daniel's imprisonment in Tanzania has been told from his perspective.
He was detained in Dar es Salaam on Monday for skipping a performance at a concert that was scheduled for that city on Sunday.
Fans had earlier vandalized the show's location out of rage over his absence.
The "Buga" singer apologized for his imprisonment and offered a free performance for Tanzanians on Friday during a news conference on the subject on Tuesday evening.
In his words: “This Friday, a free show by the way, I will be partnering with Straight Up Vibes to make that happen.
“I must apologize to the fans. None of this was intentional.”
