Usain Bolt, the fastest man in the world, complimented Tobi Amusan, a renowned athlete from Nigeria, on her success at the current World Athletic competition.
Amusan stormed to victory in the women's 100m hurdles on Sunday in Oregon in 12.06 seconds to become the first Nigerian athlete to win a gold medal at the World Athletics Championship.
Amusan had previously achieved a time faster than the previous record, 12.12 seconds, in the semi-finals.
Bolt praised the winner while quoting a tweet from the World Athletics official page that verified Tobi's victory in the semifinals.
“Congrats,” he tweeted with emoticons of the Nigerian flag and applauses.
After her performance in the finals, the Jamaican athlete also wrote, “Superb #Tobi.”
