#jaiyeorie Etinosa Idemudia, a Nigerian actress, has cautioned employers to know when it is appropriate to let go of underperforming employees.

The actress claimed that incompetent personnel or employees frequently cause firms to fail.

The actress made a reference to how nepotism harms businesses when she said that the "my brother, my brother" philosophy hinders economic expansion.

Writing on her Instagram stories, Etinosa wrote;

“It’s important to master the art of firing/replacing incompetent staff without prejudice or sentiment”

She continued, “My brother, my brother dey spoil business. Firing someone on the basis of incompetence is not wickedness. In fact, taking a job when you know you can’t deliver should be the real wickedness here.”

In a latter paragraph, the actress admonished prospective employees to state the truth about the level of their competence.

She mentioned that revealing the true nature of one’s ability would aid the employer to understand the strength and capabilities of the incoming staff.

Further, she noted that if the staff is unable to live up to the expectation or the job requirement, they should simply move on.

Her statement reads further;

“Before you take the job, be honest if you can or cannot do it, if you want to ‘try’. Find out if your would be employer is willing to train you and if he or she says they can’t and are looking a qualified hands, don’t worry, move on, develop yourself.”

The concluding part of her post reads;

“The entry level job meant for you won’t pass you by.”
