Following Liverpool's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid, Sadio Mane has informed his teammates that he would be leaving the club this summer.

Vinicius Junior scored the game's sole goal two minutes before the hour mark, securing the Spanish giant's 14th Champions League title and ensuring a disappointing season for the Reds.
It happened less than a week after Jurgen Klopp's team barely lost out to Manchester City for the Premier League title.

With the news that Senegalese forward Mane is likely to leave Anfield after six seasons, the Reds are set to endure yet another setback.
After a world-class stint on Merseyside, the 30-year-old is expected to be in great demand.

Following Liverpool's Champions League final loss, Mane informed his Liverpool teammates in the dressing room at the Stade de France of his intention to leave the club this summer, according to multiple reports, headlined by Diario AS.

The Senegalese forward was part of a Reds onslaught that was stifled by Real Madrid's tenacious defense and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois' superb individual effort.
In the first half, the former Chelsea goalkeeper made a spectacular save from Mane, getting his fingertips on a thunderous strike that looked destined for the bottom corner of the net and deflected it onto the post.
Mane has decided to quit Liverpool, according to reports, following a season in which he added the FA Cup and EFL Cup to his collection of trophies earned at Anfield.
With Jurgen Klopp's side, the former Southampton forward won the Champions League in 2019 and then the Premier League the following year.

The attacker began his professional career with Metz in France before moving to Red Bull Salzburg for two seasons before joining Southampton in the summer of 2014.
His move to Liverpool in the first summer transfer window under Klopp came after two successful seasons on the English South Coast.

Mane joined a deadly three-pronged attack that included Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, but the additions were not without their flaws.

With Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, Mane formed a deadly three-pronged attack, but the subsequent arrivals of Diogo Jot and Luis Diaz have assured plenty of rotation.
Mane, on the other hand, has remained a consistent starter alongside Salah and Diaz.
