Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0 to win UEFA Champions League title

Real Madrid displayed the real substance of winners by defeating Liverpool 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday night, May 28. They had previously defeated PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester City.


Real Madrid's chances were few and far between, but Liverpool squandered numerous opportunities throughout the contest.


On the hour mark, Vinicius Junior seemed completely untouched at the far post to turn home Federico Valverde's low cross and give Madrid their 14th European title.


Thibaut Courtoi put on a man-of-the-match performance by thwarting Liverpool's opportunities.

Liverpool prodded but couldn't equalize.

 

When the full time whistle was blown, Madrid's bench erupted and emptied onto the pitch.
