Karen Burke, the president of Disney's general entertainment, stated that the decision was made to ensure greater inclusivity for people of all sexual orientations, stating that by the end of the year, half of the characters in their upcoming projects will represent the LGBTQIA+ community or racial minorities.
During a company-wide Zoom call, Ms Burke, the mother of two queer children — one transgender and one pansexual – said this.
In addition, during a staff meeting on Florida's recent enactment of the Parental Rights in Education bill, Disney Television executive producer Latoya Raveneau discussed her "not-at-all-secret LGBT agenda" to incorporate queerness into children's animation/cartoon projects. Over time, the company's animation products have grown in popularity among children.
Ms Raveneau discussed the studio's treatment of her progressive ideas in a video recorded by Journalist Christopher Rufo, despite her negative assumptions of the firm.
Instead of rejecting her proposals for LGBTQ-friendly Easter eggs, she thanked Disney for joyfully adopting and integrating them.
"The program runners in my small corner of Proud Family Disney TVA were incredibly friendly... to my not-at-all-secret LGBT agenda," she claimed.

I was basically adding queerness wherever I could...
No one could or would stop me, and no one was attempting to do so."
Meanwhile, Vivain, Disney's diversity and inclusion chief, noted that visitors to theme parks are no longer addressed as "ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls," but rather as "dreamers" and "friends." ✍️✍️ ✍️“feel free to disagree in the comments 👀 ☝️👆 & let JAIYEORIE know what U think!” 📎 COMMENTS 👈👉✍️🤳 DROP YOUR OPINIONS ✍️✍️✍️
