I remember you standing up for me to the former president of IMG Models. Reinforcing the fact that "creatives" are talent as well. They should be credited for their work. You always pushed for business flights... Travel davs…. etc.
You backed me when I advocated for the same covers, contracts and rates as my
white counterparts. I almost starved turning down work that would pigeonhole me. You would ask how is your "fast" coming along. Fashion was SOooo non inclusive then, however you helped me strategize on the "personal brand". Which lives outside and around the marginal space I was working in daily at the time.
