Nigeria has babaric leaders who hate to face the truth – Blessing Effiom cries out after film, ‘African Messiah’ is taken down from Cinema

#jaiyeorie

Blessing Effiom-Egbe has lamented over her film, ‘African Messiah’, that has already made its way to the cinema but was taken down.

According to her post on social media, the movie was removed from the cinema, because it criticised the government and its leaders.

She said the film, which opened two days ago, showcases how the status quo was challenged and a youth was given the presidential ticket.

The movie producer said they took the film down with the excuse of trying to rectify some pending issues with it.

"Nigeria has babaric leaders who hate to face d truth. African messiah, a film which opened in cinemas 2 days ago, has just been taken down! Why? We challenged the statusquo & gave the presidential winning ticket to a youth who dared. That was just too much truth to take I guess?

They are ofcourse "quoting" a different reason. " to rectify some pending issues with d film"

Seriously??? After the film has opened in cinemas? Zlatan and Lasisi were scheduled for a meet and greet today. This is so sad and I empathise with  this first time executive producer." She wrote.
