2 persons trapped in 360 Degrees, the 21-storey building
which collapsed in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State, have been removed from
the debris of the structure.
The victims were evacuated on Tuesday morning as search and rescue operation continued.
“Two people have just been rescued alive,” an official said.
No fewer than four persons were brought out dead form the rubble while four others injured were also rescued.
Earlier, NEMA spokesman, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, said the number of casualties could not be provided as rescue was still ongoing.
A video made by Arise News had showed sympathisers milling around the collapsed building when the tragedy struck.
Meanwhile, three other persons rescued were currently being treated by the medical team of the Lagos State General Hospital.
Farinloye said the bodies have been moved to a morgue owned by the state government.
“The deceased bodies were pulled out from under the rubble,” he said.
