The Washington Wizards reportedly agreed to send Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers for three players.
According to The Athletic and ESPN, The Wizards receive Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell of the Los Angeles Lakers to be joined by Russell Westbrook.
The report said the Lakers had a 22nd overall pick in Thursday's draft and selected Jackson, a 6ft 1111 Kentucky striker, but was later replaced by the Indiana Pacers in exchange for 31st pick and keeper Aaron Holiday, who is the brother of NBA champion with Milwaukee Bucksom, Jrue.
The job is expected to be officially announced on August 6, when the salary cap becomes official, and teams can also start making moves for the upcoming season. The Lakers will also win second-round elections from the Wizards in 2024 and 2028.
This is the second time in three years that the Lakers have made significant off-season trading. They bought Anthony Davis of New Orleans 2019 for Lonza Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round draft picks.
Westbrook is the league leader in the triple-double league with 184 and gives the Lakers another playmaker in a pair of LeBron James and Davis.
