Nigerian Basketball Team Honour Sound Sultan in Match Against Australia

The Nigerian Basketball Team on Tuesday night, honoured late musician and basketball enthusiast, Olarenwaju Fasasi aka Sound Sultan.

The D’Tigers who played against Australian side wore warmup t-shirts with the late singer’s face for the pre-olympic game at the Las Vegas exhibition series as they continue preparation for Tokyo 2020.

The Australian team however took the win of the night beating its Nigerian opponent with a 13 point lead in the first quarter to end 26-13.

The third ranked nation in the world continued their dominance in the second quarter ending with a comfortable 20-point lead – 49-29.

The scoreboard at the end of the game was 108-69 in favour of Australia.
Australia trounced Nigeria 108-69 to win

The loss makes it Mike Brown’s first since taking over as coach of D’Tigers in 2020.
