Variety is reporting that a judge has denied Britney Spears’ request to have her father removed from her conservatorship.
Recall that last week, Spears gave her 24-minute testimony, making it the first time she would publicly addressed the court in her 13-year conservatorship. Speaking to the judge, the singer said that her dad enjoys controlling her life, adding that she believes that her conservators, including her father, should be in jail, and that she wants to sue her family.
Her testimony drew global attention, with fans all over the world pressuring the court to remove her father from the conservatorship.
Well, a judge has denied it.
According to Variety, the court filing states that the court found Spears to be “substantially unable to manage his or her financial resources or to resist fraud or undue influence.”
“The conservator’s request to suspend James P. Spears immediately upon the appointment of Bessemer Trust Company of California as sole conservator of estate is denied without prejudice,” the court documents filed on Wednesday stated.
Britney Spears had yet to react to this as at press time.
