Tems spoke on what the prison experience was like for her in a new interview with Genevieve magazine.
The singer who was arrested alongside her colleague, Omah Lay in 2020 during a billed performance there for not adhering to the country’s Covid-19 protocol revealed that it was quite the adventure.
Tems who went on a hunger strike during that time, said she got so comfortable in her environment that she was already taking care of the babies in the cell.
“Throughout my whole experience, I was just laughing and smiling. I got so used to the prison, I was already taking care of the babies, because my philosophy is: No matter where I am, I will enjoy it. That will be my palace,’ she said.
