Rita Dominic has joined the list of Nigerians who are concerned about the spate of violence and insecurity in the country.
The news surfaced that the famous spare parts market in Ladipo, Lagos, was razed in a fire, and that military officers were arresting and harassing young men in Owerri, Imo State; among ills that have wrecked the country in the past few days.
Now, she has said that she fears that the country is “slipping into anarchy,” and so encourages the leaders to quell the tension in the country. “We need peace to reign,” she said, “Harassing and killing innocent citizens can never solve anything.”

Our elected officials need to work harder to douse the tension in the country. We need peace to reign. Harassing and killing innocent citizens can never solve anything.
