Though it was announced that Blackish is coming to an end after the eighth season, creator, Kenya Barris is already working on his next project.
Barris is reportedly teaming up with actress, producer and director, Eva Longoria for a new series, Brownish.
The series will be based on a modern Latinx family.
President of ABC Entertainment, Craig Erwich, wants Barris to take his branded form of entertainment even further with the help of Eva Longoria. The two have reportedly been working behind the scenes to develop ‘Brown-ish.’
“Brown-ish’ is still a concept that is in development, we haven’t
rolled out the firm plans around that yet. When we talk about the world
of ‘Black-ish,’ there are so many different iterations that we are open
to,” Erwich said while
speaking on what’s next for Kenya on the network.
