News24 is reporting that famous South African writer, Phumlani Pikoli is dead.
According to the outlet, his family couldn’t reach him over the weekend, and so had to drive to Johannesburg, where they eventually found him dead on his bed.
“It is with a heavy heart filled with sadness and sorrow that we have to announce the passing of Phumlani Pikoli, the son of Vusi and Girlie Pikole,” the family said in a statement.
His family continued in a statement: The gruesome discovery of Phumlani’s lifeless body in bed is something that no parent needs to go through.”
The cause of death had yet to be confirmed as at press time.
He was 33.
