Kanye West’s Yeezy Sneakers have been named the most valuable sneakers in history.
The incredibly popular brand which has an almost unbeatable sales record is once again making historical moves.
The Shaderoom reports that the 2008 Nike Air Yeezy which Kanye wore for the 2008 Grammys, went on sale for over $1 million at Sotheby’s, making it the highest-priced sneaker ever to go on sale in the history of global sneaker sales!
West donned the sneakers during his emotional performance of “Hey Mama” and his Grammy-winning song “Stronger.”
One of the most prized and sought-after sneakers in existence, the Yeezy’s are offered from Ryan Chang, renowned sneaker collector and curator of @applied.arts.nyc, and will be on public exhibition from April 16-21 in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
